The Osun State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Sunday Oroniyi and the Special Adviser on STOWASSA, Princess Oyeboade Oyewale Afolabi, have carried out a technical inspection of the Ora-Igbomina Water Scheme to assess the progress of work on the project.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Oroniyi explained that the inspection was necessary to evaluate the condition of facilities and ensure that the project aligns with government standards for improved water supply in the community.

He emphasized that the present administration remains committed to expanding access to clean, potable water across Osun State.

On her part, Princess Oyeboade Oyewale Afolabi noted that the visit was in line with government’s broader efforts to monitor ongoing projects and guarantee that communities benefit fully from water supply interventions.

She assured residents that the state would not relent in tackling water challenges, particularly at the grassroots level.

The project contractor, Engr. Olamilekan Omojowo, who briefed the delegation, outlined the stages of work already completed and highlighted technical measures being adopted to deliver a durable and efficient water scheme for Ora-Igbomina.

Also present at the inspection were the General Manager of STOWASSA, the Executive Secretary of the Osun Water Regulatory Commission, as well as technical teams from both agencies.
