NAF INSTITUTE OF ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT’ GRADUATES 165 PERSONNEL

..REINFORCES AIRPOWER THROUGH CAPACITY BUILDING…

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to capacity building as a cornerstone for operational effectiveness, with the successful graduation of 165 personnel from the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM).

After three months of intensive upgrading courses in Administration, Music, Physical Education, and Catering, the graduands are now equipped with advanced skills and knowledge to contribute more effectively to the mission of the Service.

These critical fields support airpower projection by ensuring efficient administration, boosting morale through music, maintaining physical fitness for combat readiness, and sustaining troops through effective catering. Collectively, these skills enhance NAF’s ability to safeguard national security while protecting the lives and property of citizens.

Delivering his remarks as Special Guest of Honour, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command (AOC-GTC), Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Shinkafi, highlighted the indispensable role of training and retraining in sustaining professionalism within the Service.

He noted that under the visionary leadership of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the NAF has placed deliberate emphasis on capacity development as a key driver for operational readiness. He congratulated the graduands, urging them to embrace continuous learning as a culture and apply their newly acquired knowledge to enhance efficiency in their respective formations.

Earlier in his address, the Commandant of NAFIAM, AVM Mohammed Yusuf, reiterated the Institute’s dedication to delivering qualitative training in human resource management, leadership, and administration.

He revealed that since June 2023, the Institute has trained 18 officers from the Ghana Air Force and currently hosts personnel from both the Nigerian Navy and Ghana Navy, further projecting NAF’s role in fostering regional military cooperation.

With such initiatives, NAFIAM continues to champion excellence and international collaboration, positioning the NAF as a highly professional and adaptive force capable of safeguarding national and regional security interests.
