INEC Reveals 10 States with Highest Number of Registered Voters Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released data showing the 10 states with the highest number of registered voters in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

 

According to figures released by the commission, Nigeria’s voter register has now hit 103 million as of October 6.

 

Lagos State tops the list with 7,488,633 registered voters. Kano State follows with 6,000,570 registered voters, while Kaduna State recorded 4,000,640.

 

Other states in the top 10 include Katsina with 3,876,051; Oyo with 3,588,111; and Delta with 3,525,988.

 

Rivers State has 3,000,734 registered voters, Benue has 3,057,225, Ogun has 3,037,981, and Bauchi has 3,000,047.

 

The data by INEC reveal how the electorate is distributed nationwide and will inform political parties and stakeholders in their 2027 election preparations.
