Gov Adeleke Extends UNIOSUN VC’s Tenure By 2 Years, Reconstitutes Governing Council
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has approved a two-year tenure extension for the Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Clement Adebooye.
The announcement was made on Monday during the inauguration of the reconstituted Governing Council of UNIOSUN at the Government House, Osogbo.
In a statement by the university’s PRO, Ademola Adesoji, it was revealed that Adebooye had initially declined the offer to continue but later accepted it.
Governor Adeleke said the extension was in the best interest of the university to ensure continuity and prevent a leadership vacuum that could affect its operations.
At the same event, the governor retained Professor Adewale Oladipo as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, citing his experience and deep understanding of the university system.
