FRSC Appoints New Sector Commanders in 20 states

The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, has approved the deployment of new sector commanders in 20 states.

 

This was announced in a statement by FRSC’s spokesman Olusegun Ogungbemide to pressmen.

 

Mr Mohammed said the redeployment was part of strategic intervention mechanisms, initiated to drive the policy thrust of the FRSC and rejig operational activities in the field commands.

 

He said the deployment was also propelled by the renewed zeal, to reposition the FRSC for greater performance and quality service delivery.

 

The statement reads that: Maxwell Lede, the former principal staff officer II to the corps marshal, is now the sector commander of Plateau. The outgoing zonal head of operations (RS10HQ) Sokoto, Tijani Muhammed, now deployed as sector commander in (RS1.2) Kano. Saliau Ibrahim moves from Kano sector command to Jigawa’s, while the former Anambra sector commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi, takes over in Ogun.

 

Meanwhile, the zonal head of administration (RS3HQ) in Yola, Yahaya Adikwu, has been redeployed as sector commander (RS3.1) in Adamawa. Samson Kaura, the former corps commander in charge of Youth Safety Education, is now Gombe’s sector (RS3.2) commander. Cyril Mathew takes over as sector commander (RS5.1) Edo. Sector commander (RS5.1) Edo. Sector commander (RS9.3) in Abia, Frederick Ogidan, moved to Delta.

 

Joyce Alexander, former CC in charge of the academy at the national headquarters, will head the Anambra sector command. Taofeek Sokunbi, the outgoing sector commander in Enugu, has been moved to Rivers. Joseph Toby takes over the Cross River sector command (RS6.2). E Odiete is now the sector commander in Akwa Ibom (RS6.3); Chichebem Onukwubiri is the sector commander in Bayelsa (RS6.4); Mufutau Irekeola takes over as sector commander in Kwara.

 

Ngozi Ezeoma became the sector commander in Abia (RS 9.3), while Franklin Agbakoba became the new Enugu sector (RS9.1) commander; AU Ugah, the former sector commander in Ogun (RS2.2), will now head the Imo command (RS9.4), and PI Ikaba was redeployed to Kebbi.

 

Samuel Ibitoye takes over in Ondo, IA Ibrahim assumes duty as sector commander in Bauchi (RS12.1 ), and UA Muhammed takes over the Borno sector command.

 

The FRSC boss charged the newly deployed sector commanders to report to their duty posts and hit the ground running with immediate effect.

 

He said this was due to the enormous task and responsibility they had been outlined for carrying out to enhance safety on the roads.
