Osun NAWOJ Celebrates Governor Adeleke at 66, Hails People-Oriented Governance

The Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his 66th birthday, describing him as a compassionate leader whose governance style has renewed hope and development in the state.

 

In a statement signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, and issued by the Secretary, Oluwaranti Ojewumi, the association said Adeleke has distinguished himself through people-oriented governance, infrastructural transformation, and commitment to workers’ welfare, women and youth development.

 

“Osun NAWOJ joins millions of admirers, political associates, traditional rulers, community leaders, women groups, youth organizations, and the good people of Osun in celebrating a visionary administrator,” the statement read.

 

The association noted that since assuming office, the Governor has shown remarkable dedication to sustainable growth and socio-economic advancement across all sectors of the state. It particularly commended his open-door policy and media-friendly disposition, saying his administration has created an enabling atmosphere for journalists to operate professionally.

 

NAWOJ also applauded Adeleke’s support for women’s inclusion in governance and leadership, noting that though some women have received opportunities to serve under his administration, NAWOJ added that more platforms needed for more women inclusivity, thereby strengthening gender participation and empowerment in Osun.

 

“Governor Adeleke’s humility, accessibility, simplicity, and passion for the welfare of the masses have endeared him to the hearts of the people,” the statement added, and highlighted his strides in road construction, education, healthcare delivery, workers’ welfare, local government administration, and social support initiatives.

 

Osun NAWOJ, the women led association prayed for God’s wisdom, sound health, and divine protection for the Governor as he continues to lead Osun State toward greater prosperity.

 

“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency,” NAWOJ concluded.
