Olaewe Inaugurates 7-member Procurement Committee In Iwo West LCDA

… as committee promises to abide by the rules….

In line with the directive on public procurement by Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to all the political office holders, government agencies, parastatals, local governments, and Local Council Development Agency, Iwo West LCDA Chairman, Hon Amoo Oyeniyi Olaewe has inaugurated a 7-member committee.
This is in line with Osun State Public Procurement Law, which mandates the principles of probity, accountability and transparency in conformity with the laid down rules of engagement and practices in the local government, to guide the operations of procurement of goods, works and services, as enshrined in the procurement law 2015 as amended in 2019 by the Osun State House of Assembly.
Hon Olaewe, the Chairman made the statement at the official inauguration of members of Iwo West LCDA Procurement Committee, at the office of the chairman recently.
In his speech, he charged members of the committee on commitment  to the procurement guidelines in their dealings on any request, and also urged the committee members to be united, hardworking, and operate purely in love to promote peace, and progress and move the council forward into achievements.
Honorable Amoo Olaewe at the inauguration approved and announced the release of a long overdue payment for all procurement certificates for the smooth running of the office of the director of procurement, and the committee in line with the directive contained in the circular letter No 61/VOL.11/221 signed by the Head of Service, Osun State, Mr Ayanleye Aina.
The chairman according to section of the Osun state Procurement law, also approved the submission of the activities of the committee report to the Public Procurement Agency according to section 13 of the law.
The members of Iwo West Procurement Committee include:
1) Hon Amoo Oyeniyi Olaewe – Chairman
2)Comrade Aderinwale Adegboyega Omolojuolodumare – Secretary
3) Pastor Abegunde Taiwo Samuel – Member
4) Mr Busari Alidu Afolabi- member
5)Alh Adeleke Taofik Atanda- member
6)Alh Ganiyu Sunmon Abimbola- member
7) Alh Adams Lawal – member.
Hon Olaewe used the occasion to felicitate with Christians residents in Iwo West LCDA on this year Easter celebration, while he also wishes the Muslims the grace that follows the Ramadan programme.
In their oath taking, members of the committee promised to abide by the laws that guide the operations of the procurement committee in Iwo West, in delivery of good services to the people of the council.
