HFDI KWARA JOINS ACOMIN, 19 CBOs FOR CSO NETWORK REVIEW MEETING IN ILORIN

…Stakeholders Reaffirm Commitment to Malaria, Immunization, and Nutrition Interventions….

 

Hope for Family Development Initiative, HFDI Kwara state, on joined the Association of Civil Societies on Malaria, Immunization and Nutrition, ACOMIN, and 19 other Community-Based Organizations, CBOs, for the CSO Network Review Meeting at the Ministry of Health Training of Trainers, TOT, Hall, Ilorin.

 

ACOMIN commended all participating CBOs for their active involvement in community sensitization activities and their remarkable achievements in supporting healthcare interventions across Kwara State.

 

Speaking at the quarterly stakeholders’ meeting held at the Kwara State Ministry of Health Headquarters, the State Project Coordinator of ACOMIN, Mr. Femi Olatunbosun, expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their commitment and contributions to the programme’s success.

 

Mr. Olatunbosun also acknowledged the unwavering support from key partners, including the State Malaria Elimination Programme, the Tuberculosis Programme, the Primary Healthcare Development Agency, and the Kwara State Ministry of Health. He stressed the need for continuous collaboration to improve the quality of healthcare service delivery across the state.

 

The Programme Manager of the Kwara State Malaria Elimination Programme, Alhaja Lateefat Abdullah, represented by Mrs. Yemisi Ajala, applauded ACOMIN for its independent monitoring of malaria-related projects. She encouraged CBOs to intensify efforts in engaging community leaders and promoting greater participation in programmes initiated by the State Ministry of Health.

 

Mr. Olatunbosun also expressed gratitude for the support that led to Kwara State’s selection by the Global Fund as one of the states to implement the GC8 Programme, expected to commence in 2027. He urged all Executive Directors present to work diligently and collaboratively to ensure successful implementation.

 

According to him, documenting and showcasing success stories was a key factor that positioned Kwara among the selected states for the GC8 Programme.

 

Presenting the quarterly report, the Programme Officer of Awareness Initiative for Good Living, Alhaji Ajibola, highlighted his organization’s efforts in engaging community leaders and associations to improve access to healthcare facilities within communities.

 

The State Programme Officer of ACOMIN, Mrs. Audu Oluwatosin, also commended the dedication of all participating CBOs. She urged them to remain steadfast in humanitarian service and continue supporting health interventions that impact communities positively across Kwara State.

 

The meeting concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to strengthening partnerships and enhancing healthcare outcomes for the people of Kwara State.
