Osun Leads Nigeria in Fiscal Transparency – BudgIT Confirms

Osun Government Media Centre celebrates the latest States Fiscal Transparency League (SFTL) Q4 2025 report by BudgIT, which names only nine states as top performers. Osun is prominently among them, scoring the maximum 39 points alongside Anambra, Benue, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, and Kebbi.

Pertinently, this recognition coincides with the launch of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s campaign for a second term, further validating the administration’s consistent delivery in governance.

We are justified that Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s administration has institutionalised transparency across all MDAs. Quarterly budget reports are published on time, procurement portals are fully functional, and fiscal data is accessible; an irrefutable proof that Osun’s good governance is visible, audible, and measurable.

Unlike the previous government where the state failed to publish basic financial records, operate broken procurement portals, and hide public contracts, Osun currently delivers results on the ground. Under Adeleke, citizens can now track funds from appropriation to implementation; elsewhere, questions go unanswered.

It is instructive that the recognition reflects real governance; timely salaries, smooth execution of projects, functional institutions, and empowerment for citizens. There is no “vacancy signpost” at Osun Government House, because accountability and results are on full display every day.

The Government Media Centre of Osun congratulates His Excellency, Senator Adeleke and his team for setting the benchmark for transparency and public trust. Osun continues to lead, proving that good governance is not claimed; it is delivered.
