Celebrate Eid-el-fitri in line of peace- Odelade 

Muslim faithfuls in Osun state have obligations to respect quranic injunctions of peace, harmony and genuine love as enunciated by prophet Mohammed.

 

This is the highlight of a message sent to Islamic faithfuls as they celebrate the Eid .

 

The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency RUWESA Chief Lanre Odelade expressed these opinions today in a message made available to newsmen as Muslims end the annual Ramadan fast.

 

Addressing the current communal strife in Ifon-,Ilobu and Erin of Osun state, Chief Odelade called on Indigenes of the three ancient communities not to allow enemies of progress turn their lands into theaters of war and destabilization against the government of Osun state.

 

The Special Adviser remarks that the Adeleke administration is focused on a comprehensive development of the state with priorities on infrastructure, economic integration,robust agriculture and security.

 

All of these he believes,require peace and harmony among the people irrespective of religious,and political differences.

 

Chief Odelade reminds the people of their civic responsibility of cooperation with constituted authorities at all levels of government and advocates support for whatever measures being taken by government to safeguard lives and property of Indigenes and residents of the state.

 

The PDP Chieftain commended Governor Ademola Adeleke’s maturity in dealing with actions of those working against the interest of the state and prayed for continuous success of his administration in the years ahead.
