International Day Against Drug Abuse And Illicit Trafficking: HFDI Raises Awareness To Students On Dangers

Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Etinan, Akwa Ibom State has been sensitised on the dangers of drugs abuse and illicit trafficking, which could endanger their lives.

 

The sensitisation was done as a school outreach by Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI in commemoration of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Akwa Ibom state.

 

The representative of HFDI, Nsisong Utip at the awareness session, highlighted the risks and consequences of drug abuse to the students.

 

The students were counselled on the importance of making informed choices and resisting peer pressure that may involve drug abuse or illicit trafficking, at school and their various communities.

 

The outreach had the participation of over 150 students, who demonstrated increased understanding of drug-abuse related issues, and the students expressed enthusiasm and commitment to making positive lifestyle choices.

 

Teachers and school administrators appreciated HFDI’s initiative on promoting a healthier and safer community, while also applauding the team’s support for future collaborations.
