UNIOSUN: Osun NAWOJ Congratulates Mrs Victoria Samson BOVAS, on Appointment as Chancellor
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Osun state chapter has congratulated Mrs Victoria Samson, Founder and Managing Director of BOVAS Group, on her appointment as the new Chancellor of Osun State University (UNIOSUN).
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, and released by the Secretary Oluwaranti Ojewumi, Osun NAWOJ described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Mrs Samson’s outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship, education, and community development in Osun State and beyond.
The association noted that Mrs Samson’s leadership at BOVAS has positioned the company as one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous energy firms, while her philanthropic efforts have impacted thousands of youths and women through scholarships, skills acquisition, and business empowerment programs.
“Her elevation to the revered position of Chancellor reflects her commitment to service, excellence, and the advancement of knowledge,” the statement read. “As a trailblazing woman in business and philanthropy, Mrs Samson serves as a role model for young girls and women across the state.”
The female journalists association led by NAWOJ Chairperson Comrade Abisola Ariwodola, added that Mrs Samson’s wealth of experience in corporate governance and social impact would bring immense value to UNIOSUN’s growth and global reputation.
The association prayed for wisdom, good health, and success for the new Chancellor as she assumes office, and pledged its support in promoting the university’s academic and developmental agenda.
Osun NAWOJ used the medium to appreciate Governor Ademola Adeleke for the appointment, adding that just as her predecessor the former Chancellor Apostle Folorunso Alakija did wonderfully well, Mrs Victoria Samson will also perform excellently in her capacity as UNIOSUN Chancellor.
