Osogbo commercial minibus (Korope) operators begins implementation of fare
Commercial minibus operators, popularly known as Korope, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, has begin implementation of fare, due to high price of Premium Motor Spirit.
The drivers who had converged to protest at the Ayetoro area of Osogbo on Wednesday said the rising cost of fuel has made operations difficult and unprofitable.
The operators had at their yesterday protest announced a new fare regime of N300 per drop, which takes effect from today, Thursday September 24, 2026.

Some of the drivers who spoke with journalists said the adjustment became necessary due to current economic realities.
They added that interstate transport operators had already increased their fares and that minibus operators should not be left behind.
According to the operators, the cost of fueling has significantly reduced their daily earnings.
The new fare is expected to apply across all Korope routes within Osogbo metropolis.
