Olufi Gbongan Celebrates 25th Coronation Anniversary, Confers Chieftaincy Titles On Impeccable Personalities

Gbongan land stood agog for the 25th Coronation Anniversary Celebration of its paramount ruler, HRM, Oba Dr Adetoyese Oyeniyi PhD (Ife) JP, Odugbemi 1, amidst pomp and pageantry.
The coronation anniversary which held at St Paul’s Primary School Field, Oke church Gbongan, also featured Conferment of Chieftaincy titles, accepted by the excited dignitaries and guests on the deserving sons and daughters of the town.
In his address Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi giving glory to God for HIS Grace over him, thanked Osun state Government under Governor Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Royal Fathers led by the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Chiefs, Religious leaders, local government executives, and sons and daughters of the land for supporting the throne.
Attributing his reign to the peace of God, the erudite king added that Gbongan kingdom is an historic town in Osun state, filled with reputable personalities who are models in the state, country and world at large.
The paramount ruler of Gbongan land who ascended the throne in 1998, called for continued support and collaboration which will leave the ancient town in the sand of time, and he appreciated everyone for gracing his coronation anniversary celebration.
In his speech, Osun state Governor Ademola Adeleke, who was represented by his Deputy Prince Kola Adewusi saluted the erudite scholar king for being an amazing royalty model to future generations, as he lauded the outstanding attributes that the town is known for.
He called on youths of the town to imbibe the culture of good leadership as given by Oba Adetoyese, while also urging them to subsist the peace and harmony that the town is known for.
He also applauded the community for having reputable sons and daughters across the globe, stressed that Gbongan land is a peaceful town under the king, and this is noted and appreciated, while he extends the support of the government to the town on developmental projects through good governance.
Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi conferred Chieftaincy titles on Dr Queen Agnes Aderonke Adetoyese as Yeyeluwa of Gbonganland, Wale Babalakin (SAN) as foremost son of Gbonganland, Chief Dele Momodu of Ovation magazine as the Akinrogun of the land, and Ondo CP, Oladimeji as Otunba Bobaselu and his wife Yeye Otunba Bobaselu of Gbongan land, among others.
Speaking on behalf of the Chieftaincy recipients, Wale Babalakin, SAN appreciated the Olufi of Gbongan for bestowing him with chieftaincy, he added that he will use it to develop the town, and he also appreciated lawmakers and dignitaries who graced the occasion.
He assured the monarch that Gbongan town will be a mega city in the years to come, while he appealed to the state governor to come to their aid in areas of infrastructure provision.
Other Dignitaries at the event include, Oba Solomon Adebusola, Oba Joseph Olugbenga Oloyede, Oba Samson Adeleke Agunbiade Oke, Agunbiade III of Ipetuland, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, Deji of Akure who came in company with the Ondo CP, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Dr Adedokun Abolarin, Aroyinkeye 1, to mention a few.
