No Nation Can Prosper Without Youths and Artisans – Adeoriokin

A grassroots mobilizer, Mr Richard Idowu, has stressed the need to empower the youth populace and artisans, as the best way to ensure rapid development of Nigeria.

 

Mr. Idowu, popularly known as “Adeoriokin”, stated this while speaking at the final match of the football competition he organized for artisans in Ejigbo local government area of Osun state.

 

Adeoriokin, who stressed the need for the government at all levels to focus more on the youth and artisans; pledged his commitment to youth and artisans empowerment at all times, as his own little way of assisting the people of the grassroots.

 

At the end of the fierce 90 minutes encounter, between Barbers Association, Ejigbo local government and Professional Artists of Nigeria, Barbers Association thrashed their opponents with one goal to nil, and went home with one hundred a fifty thousand Naira, in addition to the trophy, among other mouth watering gifts.

 

The Professional Artists of Nigeria – the runners up, were also gifted one hundred thousand Naira cash while the Federation of Tailors won the third place and got seventy thousand Naira as additional cash gift.

 

Responding on what prompted him to organize the competition, Mr Richard Idowu Adeoriokin said he used it as an avenue to bring various artisans associations together, as a rallying point to know where he can be of assistance in his own little way and also set agenda for government at All levels.

 

The Ejigbo born philanthropist had earlier played host to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, OSBC Chapel, led by the chairman, Comrade Lateef Agboola; where they agreed to work together on shaping the future of the younger generations of Nigerians.
