NIESV Donates Textbooks To Secondary Schools, Gives Career Guidance and Counselling On Estate Surveying and Valuation

Osun state Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), continued its donation of textbooks to secondary schools in Osun state, and it also held career guidance and counselling talks on Estate Surveying and Valuation to the future generation.

 

The donation of the secondary school textbooks was made by the executives of the institution led by its Chairman, ESV Adekunle Adedoye M.Tech, FNIVS, RSV at Community High School Akiriboto-Oke, Gbongan in Ayedaade Local government.

 

ESV Adedoye in his address to the students urged them to consider Estate Management as a course of study, which will make them professional Estate Surveyors and Valuers of the landed property among other related function.

 

Describing the profession as a lucrative one, he called on the students to study well and to be vast in calculations, adding that the valuation profession has a future and is beneficial when tapped into judiciously.

 

Adedoye, a Fellow of the Institution of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers who gave Mathematics, English, Physics, Economics and Geography Textbooks to the students, commended the school principal, Mrs. Adegbite Modupe and teachers for the job of raising the future leaders academically, and he admonished the students to shun vices and face their studies.

 

The Senior Prefect, Samuel Kayode in his vote of thanks on behalf of the students, school management and principal expressed gratitude to Osun NIESV for sensitization on choosing the right career path, stated that interest has been created in the estate Surveying and Valuation profession, adding that the students are delighted.

 

The Principal of the school, Mrs. D.M Adegbite in her remarks, described the career guidance and counselling talk as an encouraging program that has challenged the students to read more, and learn about their future.

 

She prayed God to bless Osun NIESV and also prayed for a good future for the secondary school students, adding that their having a good future will bring pride to Community High School Akiriboto-Oke, Gbongan town, the state and country as a whole.
