HFDI, MORO PHCs INTEGRATE SRHR DATA VALIDATION INTO MONTHLY DISEASE SURVEILLANCE MEETING

…Kwara Team Strengthens Data Accuracy to Improve Health Service Uptake…

By Our Reporter,

The HFDI Kwara team joined Monitoring & Evaluation officers from all Primary Health Care, PHC, facilities in Moro Local Government Area for a strategic move to integrate Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, SRHR, data validation into the monthly disease surveillance review.

The meeting, held at Shao PHC brought together participants from  PHCs across Moro LGA to validate data on both SRHR and Communicable Diseases, CD.

HFDI, as the implementing partner of JHPIEGO, a global non-profit health organisation,  on SRHR/CD in Kwara State, reintroduced the organization and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting selected PHCs in Moro for successful implementation of integrated health interventions.

During the session, HFDI and PHC M&E officers jointly reviewed and validated all data presented by facilities. Attendance was recorded and all submitted reports were examined for accuracy, completeness, and consistency to ensure reliable health information for decision-making.

The aim was to assess performance, identify gaps, and develop clear strategies to increase community awareness and improve service uptake for SRHR and communicable diseases across facilities.

Organizers described the integration as a success, noting that SRHR data validation was effectively incorporated into the existing monthly disease surveillance platform.

The joint review and cross-checking process improved the reliability and credibility of health data across facilities. The meeting also produced actionable strategies to boost awareness and drive utilization of SRHR and communicable disease services.

HFDI said the integration will strengthen data-driven planning and ensure that gaps in SRHR and CD service delivery are identified and addressed promptly at the local government level.
