Gov. Adeleke Presents Staff of Office To Two Royal Fathers In Atakunmosa West, Orolu LGAs

 

…. Re-affirms commitment to keeping faith with electioneering campaign promises….

The prevailing administration in Osun State has once again, re-affirmed its commitment to keeping faith with the electioneering campaign promises made to the people of the State.

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke stated this at the official presentation of staff of offices and instruments of appointment to two traditional rulers:

They were Oba Aderibigbe Okunade, Omirin Okuande 1, Looja of Kajola – Ijesa in Atakunmosa West Local Government Area and Oba Peter Oluwole Ipadeola, Ilufemiloye Akinyooye III, the Olufon of Ifon in Orolu Local Government Area of Osun State.

Senator Adeleke, who affirmed that Goverment’s action was in accordance with the Chief’s Law of Osun State, further appealed to the residents of the Council area to shun acts of violence and continue to sustain peace, love and harmony.

While congratulating the Monarchs, the Governor also urged them to use their new positions to further augment the existing unity and peace in their domains

Governor Adeleke, who was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr.Dosu Babatunde enjoined the people of the two communities to join hands with their new Monarchs for progress, unity and peace.

The Governor reiterated his commitment to keeping faith with his electioneering campaign promises, saying he will continue to judiciously utilize the meager resources of the State for the benefit of all and sundry.

In their remarks,the two Monarchs appreciated the Governor and promised their support and encouragement for his administration from time to time.

On the entourage of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Dosu Babatunde, who represented the Governor, were the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs,Hon. Adam Akintunde Akindeere, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Matters, Hon Oluwasegun Goddey Olije, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Femi Ogundun and Director of Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Bashir Oladipupo.
