German Embassy Expresses Vote Of Confidence On HFDI Gender Political Development Project

On objectivity, accountability, timeliness, strategic and focused driven implementation of “Advancing Women Political Participation in Politics Through Female Elected Candidates in the South West”, the German Embassy in Abuja has expressed vote of confidence on Hope For Family Development Initiative, HFDI Gender Political Development program in Nigeria.
The declaration was made by Matthias Dole of the Political Affairs Department of the German Embassy in Abuja, during the evaluation meeting on the 82-days implementation of the Advance Women Participation in politics project by HFDI and Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen Ifa project in South West of the country.
Mathias Dole maintained that the Zivik funded project by the German Foreign Office and Hope for Family Development Initiative is objective, and he commended HFDI for achieving the success recorded within the outlined period of time, stressed that this portrays the foremost non-governmental organization in Osun state, to have the full capacity to influence and make positive changes in the society.
Speaking further, he stated that the German Foreign Office and the Embassy will engage Hope For Family Development Initiative, HFDI more as the opportunity comes.
Dole also exhibited their support and approval of the project, and used the medium to give virtual welcome address to participants at the ongoing training of female aspirants in Osun state.
Earlier in his remarks at the German Embassy in Abuja, the HFDI Executive Director, Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele highlighted the success achieved, through slides presentation and captions of media clips which showcased all the programs across the implementation states such as Ekiti, Oyo and Osun states.
Ambassador Aremu appreciated Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen Ifa, and the German Foreign Office for the trust imposed on his organization to implement the program and he assured them of consistency in his people friendly development work.
Adding that the progress of the female aspirants, who are beneficiaries of the “Advancing Women Political Participation in Politics Through Female Elected Candidates in the South West Nigeria”, project will be monitored and evaluated periodically.
Similarly, to acquaint the German Embassy with HFDI projects, the Project Manager, Falana Adeola presented overview and milestones of project activities with successes achieved so far, to the admiration of the embassy political affairs department.
Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the project’s Training manual and the Report of the base line study carried out on the interest of youth and young women in politics, as well as presentation of the T-Shirts and other supporting survenors done by HFDI.
Also present at the evaluation meeting was Uduak – Abasi Akpabio of the German Embassy Political department office, who also lauded the achievements made by HFDI on the project.
