The Provost, Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem has felicitated with Muslim Ummah across the globe on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
This is just as the Provost congratulated both staff and students of the citadel of learning for being alive to witness another celebration while urging them to celebrate with love and utmost modesty.
Dr Raheem stated these in a message of felicitation to Muslims which he made available to newsmen on Wednesday through the Public Relations Officer of the College, Kingsley Omoyeni.
The erudite scholar through the message urged fellow Muslims to increase their acts of generosity and kindness to their neighbours and ensure that everyone around them feel loved now and always.
While thanking Almighty Allah for sparing the lives of Muslims, especially students and staff of OSCO-HEALTH, Ilesa community to witness another celebration, he stressed on the need for them to emulate Prophet Ibrahim (SA) in his acts of sacrifice.
He encouraged Islamic faithfuls to seize the opportunity of the sacred celebration to pray for the growth and development of Osun State while encouraging the privileged Muslims to extend love to the vulnerable in the society.
The statement reads in part, “I warmly felicitate with Muslims all over the world, especially students and staff of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa and residents of Osun State for the opportunity to witness another celebration alive and in good health.
“It is a privilege given to us by Almighty Allah to be alive to join other faithfuls in this joyous moment. It affords us the opportunity to reflect on our actions and services in the worship of Almighty Allah. Let’s maximize this rare opportunity to extend love to the less privileged around us at all times.
“I wish us all a rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration and I pray Almighty Allah to bless us all. Barka de Sallah to all Muslim faithful.”
