OSUN JUSUN REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INDEFINITE STRIKE AMIDST SOLIDARITY.

The Osun state chapter of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has maintained its strike, directing its members to withdraw their services and refrain from reporting to work.

 

The Union cited the state Chief’s Judge Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo’s alleged disregards for staff welfare and failure to engage with the Union leadership, as reasons for the continued Industrial action.

 

In a statement issued by the state Chairman, Comrade Idris Adebayo Adeniran, following the Union’s state congress held at High Court of Justice osogbo, members were urged to remain steadfast and united in pursuit of Justice and workers rights.

 

According to Adeniran, the congress serve as a reaffirmation of the members collective resolve to uphold justice, unity and the protection of worker’s interest within the state judiciary.

 

The Chairman expressed gratitude to members for their unwavering support and loyalty, commenting their active participation and commitment to the union’s objectives.

 

The Union leader dismissed recent reports that the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN had called off its strike, but recent development suggests otherwise.

 

He maintained, that the strike remained in force until the union’s demand are fully addressed.

 

Providing an update on the recent engagement with the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, Adeniran said, the meeting between JUSUN and the NBA Osun state representative held on October 10 2025 was productive.

 

He expressed appreciation for the NBA intervention in the dispute and looked forward to the outcome of its meeting with the Honorable Chief Judge.

 

He stated further that, their demands are legitimate, reasonable and overdue. “We will be persistent until they are fully met and our rights are recognized by the Honorable Chief Judge,” Justice Adepele Ojo.

 

The Chairman encouraged the members to remain committed to the cause, reminding them of the Union’s motto of resilience and solidarity.

 

Adeniran further reaffirmed that the Union’s determination, pledging to maintain the momentum of the struggle until all legitimate demands were met.

 

It must be noted that the strike may cause delay in court proceedings and judicial services. The union has urged all the staff to stand in solidarity and support the collective action , aimed at protecting members rights and interest – Adeniran concluded.
