…Construction and Installation of the mobile Sub-Station to be Completed Within 9 Months…
In a giant stride towards improving power supply in his senatorial district, Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi has successfully facilitated the installation of 2x63MVA Mobile Sub-Station at Agbamu Road, Ila-Orangun.
This development follows a series of meetings in the last six months with the Honourable Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, during which the Minister directed ministry agencies, the TCN, FGN Power and IBEDC to inspect the proposed site for the project.
The team who visited twice, to identify the point to the site of this infrastructure, were received by the High Chief Paul Ogunrinade, the Ejemu of Ila-Orangun and other notable Chiefs on the instruction of kabiyesi, the Orangun of Ila.
As part of his commitment to fulfilling the ministry’s requirements which was mandatory before this substation could be installed, is the provision of 3,000 pre-paid meters. Senator Fadeyi agreed to procure the 3,000 pre-paid meters through budget allocation, ensuring seamless electricity distribution to beneficiaries.
Once completed, the mobile Sub-Station will serve as a major boost to power supply which will benefit seven local government areas and over 40 communities within the Senatorial District.
This initiative is a demonstration of Senator Fadeyi’s dedication to addressing the power challenges in Osun Central and his neighbouring towns. This will create 1,000 direct jobs during construction and installation and foster development through reliable electricity, improve medical services, at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Federal and privates Universities, the College of Education, Ajagunnla Radio Station, small and medium scale enterprises, markets and boost our local manufacturers production, among others.
In a gesture of appreciation, Senator Ajagunnla Olubiyi Fadeyi expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for the presidential power initiative, the amiable and working Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Honourable Minister of Power, Hon. Adebayo Adelabu, and the Ajiboye family compound that generously donated the land for the mobile Sub-Station.
He also extended his appreciation to Kabiyesi Alayeluwa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwahab Olukayode Oyedotun Bibiire 1, the Orangun of Ila and Chief Paul Ogunrinade, the Ejemu of Ila-Orangun, Alhaji Jimoh Akande, and prominent leaders in the totem, for their support and cooperation in bringing this transformative project to fruition.
While speaking, he noted that the construction and installation of the mobile Sub-Station which will be completed within nine months, marks a step forward in his vision for improved infrastructure and enhanced quality of life for the entire good people of Osun Central Senatorial District.
In conclusion, Distinguished Senator Fadeyi used this forum to congratulate his dear party (PDP) in the state, members of the Federal House of Representatives, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Adewale Egbedun, and members of State House of Assembly from Osun Central.
