Royal Father Lauds Osun NIESV, Charges Parents On Good Children Upbringing, To Avoid Shortcut

A prominent royal father in Osun state, the Olufi of Gbongan, HRM Oba Dr. Adetoyese Oyeniyi, PhD (Ife), JP, Odugbemi 1, has commended the efforts of Osun Branch of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors, NIESV for considering and support students in career choice.

 

Oba Oyeniyi who encouraged the students to face their education squarely, made this known during the career, guidance and counselling sensitization by the Institution, at Monarch College International School, Gbongan in Ayedaade local government area of Osun state.

 

He called on parents to be proactive about the upbringing of their wards or children, stressing that their future is important, especially their education, stated that passing the secondary school examination as a basic to get admission into higher institution is another step into future career, and he used the medium to charge parents to give their children or wards good upbringing, and urged them to shun shortcut of passing examinations.

 

The Oba who charged the children on the wider choices in education, emphasized that mathematics and the sciences is important, the world is becoming scientific, so it’s a norm to key into it, he described Estate Management as a good course and urged the students on the need to tap into the resources which he said is appreciating daily.

 

Oba Dr. Oyeniyi applauded the female practitioners in the Estate Surveying and Valuation profession, described them as a role model for their gender, and he also congratulated the Osun NIESV Chairman, ESV Adekunle Adedoye on the award of Fellow bestowed on him by his professional body at the national.

 

Earlier in his remarks, ESV Adedoye commended the monarch for his achievements and contribution to the community and education system, he particularly thanked him for sponsoring the education of students in his community, thereby giving them a key to a good future.

 

At the career talk sensitization to Monarch College International school were the executives of the Osun NIESV which include: ESV Sola Adebiyi Vice chairman, ESV Kola Olaluwe, Hon Treasurer, ESV Folashade Salami Financial Secretary, ESV Adeagbo O.B.F, Ass. Hon Secretary and ESV Julius Ayowole, Ass. Hon Publicity Secretary.
