PEPFAR: Osun Government Assures Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Of Healthcare 

Osun government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured persons living with HIV/AIDS in the state of healthcare services.

 

This was disclosed in a release by Olusegun Daramola, Executive Secretary of Osun State Agency for the Control of AIDS (O’SACA).

 

According to him, “We understand that the recent withdrawal of support by PEPFAR may have caused concern and uncertainty about your care and treatment. Please be assured that you are not alone. Your health and well-being remain our top priority.”

 

” Under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the Osun State Government, in collaboration with partners, agencies, and stakeholders, is working tirelessly to bridge any gaps left by PEPFAR’s withdrawal. We are actively exploring all available resources to strengthen healthcare services and mobilize community support to ensure uninterrupted access to essential care.”

 

The release also states that the health, dignity, and rights of persons living with HIV/AIDS in the state are of utmost importance.

 

“We are committed to providing continuous access to: Antiretroviral therapy/drugs (ART) and essential medications, Regular medical check-ups and monitoring, Counselling and psychosocial support, Nutrition and economic assistance.”

 

Speaking further, the agency therefore urge them to remain calm and committed to  treatments, and adhere to prescribed regimen, attend scheduled clinic visits, and reach out to healthcare providers if you have any concerns.
