Osun NAWOJ Congratulates its former Chairperson Igbaroola on Appointment as Director General and Permanent Secretary of OSBC

Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) has congratulated one of its former Chairpersons, Mrs Jolaade Igbaroola on her appointment as the Director General and Permanent Secretary of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) by the state Governor, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

In a joint statement signed by the Chairperson Comrade Abisola Ariwodola and Secretary Comrade Oluwaranti Ojewumi, Osun NAWOJ commended Mrs Igbaroola for her dedication, leadership, and exemplary contributions to the field of journalism, that have undoubtedly paved the way for her well-deserved appointment to this esteemed position.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the principles of professionalism, integrity, and excellence, serving as a role model and inspiration to many within pen profession, and “we are glad of her accomplishment.”

Stating further, the statement described Igbaroola as a prominent figure in the media landscape, who has consistently advocated for gender equality, diversity, and inclusivity, making significant strides in advancing the rights and representation of women in journalism. Her appointment not only reflects her outstanding qualifications and merit but also symbolizes progress towards greater gender parity in leadership positions.

The state chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists used the medium to appreciate the number one citizen of Osun state, Governor Ademola Adeleke for approving the appointment through the office of the Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina.

Osun NAWOJ commends the decision of Mr Governor to entrust Mrs Igbaroola with this pivotal role and expresses confidence in her ability to steer OSBC towards continued success and innovation. “Nawoj is also confident that under her visionary leadership, OSBC will continue to uphold its esteemed reputation for delivering timely, accurate, and impartial news coverage to the people of Osun State and the entire nation.”
