HFDI ED Becomes Osun Health Insurance Agency Governing Board Member

As Osun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke inaugurates Osun Health Insurance Agency, OSHIA Governing Board, one of the board members, the Hope for Family Development Initiatives HFDI Executive Director, Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele has appreciated the government for his appointment.

 

This is as he pledges dedication to duty, adding that he will bring aboard his wealth of experience in relevant fields such as healthcare management, policy development on public health, along with a proven track record of championing initiatives that improve healthcare outcomes and promote universal health coverage.

 

Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele who is well known in the development world, for advocating policies, and initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery and access for, children, women, older vulnerable children and residents of Osun State, reiterates his dedication to OSHIA to advancing healthcare accessibility and affordability in the state.

 

Earlier in his address at the program, Governor Ademola Adeleke represented by his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi re-emphasized its commitment to the provision of a qualitative and affordable health care programmes to better the lot of its citizenry.

 

At the inauguration which held at the Exco Chambers, Governor’s Office, the state Government congratulated the board members for being counted worthy of their appointments, and hinged on the need for them to deliver on their mandates diligently without fear or favour.

 

He described health as one of the important sectors, which his administration will not in any way toy with, stressing that the best of life is one that has the best of good and qualitative health.

 

Also speaking, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Rasaq Akintunde Akindele stated that the with the governing board in place, the work of the Agency will be made more effective to deliver on its core objectives.

 

He also congratulated the newly inaugurated Chairman and members of the Governing Board, and used the medium to urge politicians, and other stakeholders in the state to register people from their constituents into the scheme.

 

Similarly, the Chairman of the newly inaugurated OSHIA Board, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji in his acceptance speech appreciated the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke for appointing trusted and experienced hands to serve on the Board of the Agency.

 

Other members of the OSHIA Board include, Dr Akeem Bello, Ministry of Health, Representative of Office of the Head of Service, Mr Najeem Akintola, State Hospital Management Board, Dr Abayomi Oni, Mrs Yetunde Esan, Ministry of Budget & Economic Development and Mr Tajudeen Adelabu of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Osun NLC Chairman, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, State Coordinator of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) Mr Oyawoye and Dr Gbenga Adepoju from Health Providers.
