HFDI Participates in Association of Orphans and Vulnerable Children Objectivity Training 

Hope For Family Development Initiative HFDI, and Society for Life Changers and Parental Care SOLIFE participated in a day training, on impactful Objectivity organised by Association for Orphans and vulnerable children in Nigeria (AONN), Osun Chapter.

 

Discussing on the theme: Pivoting your organisation with the purpose of being an impactful NGO, the training held at DePlace Conference hall, Osogbo, Osun State.

 

The facilitator Mr. Dare Adeoye, addressing the NGOs at the workshop emphasised the importance of understanding the structure and functions of Non- governmental Organisations (NGOs), he also spoke extensively on the common fears and misconceptions about NGOs.

 

He explained the need for NGOs to be self-aware and purpose-oriented and shared practical strategies to remain impactful within communities, while also highlighting the effectiveness of helping others, being organized and able to solve internal issues within our own organizations.

Similarly, the Adeoye discussed key features and types of NGOs, with objective, impactful and purpose-driven roles, especially in serving vulnerable populations such as orphans, children out of school, and persons with disabilities.

 

The participants also shared thoughts on how to strengthen their roles in the development space process of legal registration and success indicators of NGOs and well as challenges faced were discussed.
