ALAYEMORE MONARCHS CONVENE IN IDO-OSUN, PLEDGE COLLECTIVE ACTION ON SECURITY, UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT

The Paramount Ruler of Ido-Osun Alayemore Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Olayinka Oyetunde Ishola Jokotola II, has called for greater unity, strengthened security collaboration, and sustained development among traditional institutions across Alayemore Kingdom and beyond.

The royal father made the call on Monday while presiding over a high-level strategic council meeting held at the Palace of the Alayemore of Ido-Osun.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Media and Communications to the Alayemore of Ido-Osun.

Speaking at the meeting, the Olojudo of Ido-Osun, who is also the current Chairman of the Egbedore Local Government Council of Obas, emphasized that the collective strength and influence of traditional rulers remain indispensable in addressing contemporary challenges, particularly insecurity and socio-economic development.

According to the revered monarch, the strategic gathering was convened to foster unity, strengthen cooperation among traditional institutions, and enhance their contributions to governance and community development. He noted that the relevance and effectiveness of traditional institutions are anchored on the wealth of experience, cultural heritage, and grassroots connection of their custodians.

Oba Jokotola commended the monarchs in attendance, as well as the people of Ido-Osun and Osun State at large, for their continued commitment to peace and harmony within their respective communities. He described the meeting as a vital platform for constructive dialogue, peacebuilding, and the promotion of sustainable development.

The royal father further stressed the need for stronger collaboration between government authorities and traditional institutions in addressing critical security concerns, including kidnapping, farmer-herder conflicts, and other threats to public safety.

Deliberations at the meeting focused on issues of security, national cohesion, grassroots development, and the promotion of peace and stability across communities.

Among the prominent traditional rulers and community leaders in attendance were the Olu of Aduramigba, Olu Gbotaru, Olu Woru, Olu Kuse, Oniworu, Alapupu, and Oloke Ibukun, as well as other distinguished monarchs and Baales within Alayemore Kingdom.

At the end of the meeting, the monarchs reaffirmed their commitment to working collectively in support of peace, security, unity, and sustainable development across Alayemore Kingdom, Osun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
