OSUN AMOTEKUN BREAKS SILENCE, DISMISSES CLAIM OF DEPLOYING 50 OPERATIVES TO ADELEKE ONDO POWER PLANT

The Osun Amotekun Corps has strongly refuted and categorically debunked allegations made by the APC Campaign Council claiming that the Corps deployed 50 of its operatives to a power plant owned by Dr. Deji Adeleke in Ondo State.

The Corps describes the allegation as entirely false, baseless, misleading, and incapable of withstanding any objective scrutiny.

According to the security outfit, there is no truth whatsoever in the claims being circulated, and the allegations are merely a deliberate attempt to drag the Corps into unnecessary political controversy.

Osun Amotekun wishes to state unequivocally that it is a security institution established by law for the protection of lives and property across Osun State.

As a professional and community-based security outfit, the Corps remains apolitical and does not engage in partisan political activities or serve the interests of any political party, individual, private organization, or business entity.

For the avoidance of doubt, the officers whose names were reportedly mentioned in connection with the allegation are currently carrying out their lawful duties within the Corps’ Headquarters in Osogbo and other designated locations in Osun State.

At no time were such operatives deployed to Ondo State for any assignment related to the power plant as alleged.

The Corps further clarifies that all its personnel remained on operational standby and active duty within Osun State during the period in question. The claim that 50 operatives were mobilized outside the state is completely fabricated and unsupported by facts.

Similarly, Osun Amotekun dismisses as false and fictitious the allegation that one of its officers was involved in a motorcycle accident while allegedly travelling to Ondo State for the purported assignment.

The Corps confirms that no such incident occurred and that no officer was involved in any accident connected to the fabricated deployment story.

The Command therefore urges members of the public to disregard the allegations in their entirety, as they are nothing more than a campaign of misinformation designed to mislead the public and tarnish the image of a reputable security institution that has continued to serve the people of Osun State with dedication, professionalism, and integrity.

Osun Amotekun remains committed to its statutory mandate of safeguarding lives and property without fear, favour, or political consideration.

The Corps will not allow itself to be distracted from its constitutional responsibilities by unfounded accusations, public odium, or campaigns of calumny orchestrated to undermine public confidence in its operations.

The leadership of the Corps reiterates that Amotekun belongs to the people of Osun State and will continue to discharge its duties in accordance with the law, maintaining neutrality, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public safety.

Members of the public are therefore encouraged to continue supporting and cooperating with the Corps as it remains steadfast in its mission of ensuring peace, security, and stability across Osun State.
