HFDI Leads Integrated SRHR and Communicable Disease Data Validation Meeting in Kwara local government 

Integrated data validation meeting on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and communicable diseases (CD) was facilitated by Hope for Family Development Initiative (HFDI) for all selected Primary Health Care (PHC) centers in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.

 

The meeting brought together representatives from PHC facilities across the LGA to validate data, assess performance, identify gaps, and develop strategies to increase community awareness and improve service uptake for SRHR and communicable diseases.

 

The session was led by the Officer-in-Charge of PHC Saadu, Mrs. Abolarin, who introduced the HFDI representative, after which the organization’s achievements was outlined in Kwara State.

 

Also there was affirmation of HFDI’s commitment to continuously supporting selected PHC centers in Moro to ensure the successful implementation of integrated health interventions.

 

During the meeting, HFDI staff and the LGA Monitoring and Evaluation Officer reviewed and validated all data presented by M&E officers from each PHC facility.

 

Capturing was made on the inaugural HFDI’s implementation in Moro, featuring multiple PHC facilities representatives convenance in one location for a comprehensive and unified data validation exercise. The integrated validation was successfully incorporated into the existing monthly disease surveillance review platform.

 

The meeting also produced actionable strategies aimed at boosting awareness and increasing utilization of SRHR and communicable disease services across the facilities.

 

Hope for Family Development Initiatives, HFDI stated that the Jhpiego, a global non-profit health organisation sponsored exercise is part of the broader effort to strengthen data quality, improve evidence-based planning, and ensure that SRHR indicators are fully captured within routine health reporting systems in Kwara State.
