Sefiu Adewumi Becomes OSCOTECH Acting Rector, Reiterates Development And Service Delivery

Mr Sefiu Adebowale Adewumi has become the Acting Rector of Osun state College of Technology Esaoke.
This career progression is as a result of the retirement of the Rector, Dr Samson Akinbamide Omobayonle Adegoke on Thursday May 15, 2025.
Mr Adewumi at becoming the Acting Rector, reiterated development of the institution and laudable service delivery at the citadel of learning.
A distinguished leader, Mr Sefiu Adewumi who was the Deputy Rector of the institution began his remarkable journey within institution, and served as the former Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs.
His vast experience and dedication to the success and well-being of students and alumni body, re-echo his commitment to advancing OSCOTECH mission and vision, and fostering a collaborative environment which is highly anticipated for development.
According to him, Osun State College of Technology Esaoke will uphold its position of a trail blazer among polytechnics and technology oriented world.
He appreciated the Chairman Governing Board Hon Diran Odeyemi, and members of the board, as well as the school management for the trust reposed in him, adding that he will use his capacity to take the school to great height.
S.A Adewumi, a Statistician Graduate and Masters holder in Science and Technology Management, is married with Children, he has held various posts in different capacities in the College, started his career as an Assistant Lecturer in Department of Mathematics and Statistics, then for several years was Head of Department in Mathematics and Statistics, also as Director of Preliminary programme of the institution, Director of Entrepreneurship and Vocational Skills Acquisition centre, Dean Students Affairs and Alumni, as well as Chairman Committee of Deans, and Deputy Rector of the institution.
Osun State College of Technology OSCOTECH Esa-Oke no doubt is a leading Technological institution and the hope of Technological breakthrough in Nigeria and Africa.
It has several faculties with about twenty-six (26) departments running courses accreditated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)
