Regular Payment of Taxes and Levies; Panacea To Development – Transportation Commissioner, Oyedele

Osun State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele has stated that the development of the State will be greatly determined by the support of residents to the present administration through the payment of their taxes and levies.

 

The Commissioner stated this during a meeting with top officials of the Motor Licensing Authority at the State Secretariat.

 

Hon. Oyedele explained that the best economies of the world are doing well because residents and especially buisness owners don’t shy away form their civic responsibility which is regular payment of taxes and levies.

 

He explained that the administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke has so much in the kitty for residents of the State but would need the support and cooperation of all sundry.

 

The Commissioner said Governor Adeleke is determined to make their job easy for them, noting that the Chief Executive of the State is determined to give them all the support that they need at every point in time.

 

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Yakubu Adejare pointed out that the essence of the meeting is for government to be familiar with their challenges and fix them.

 

He hinted that government has a lot of plans for them to make their job run more smoothly for the benefit of all, explaining that it can only be made possible through their cooperation.

 

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Mr Isiaka Yahaya enjoined the licensing officers to work with government to eliminate leakages so as to improve the Internally Generated Revenue of the State.
