Peace Corps, Osun State Command Assures Government Of Effective Service Delivery

Peace Corps of Nigeria, Osun state Command, has assured the State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke of effective service delivery, by ensuring that peace reign supreme, most especially in schools across the state.

 

This was made known by its Commandant, Patriot Ayinde Paul during the courtesy call paid on the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi in his office.

 

Addressing the Commissioner, Commandant Paul stated that the Corps has been consistent in its roles and obligations through its service to the good people of Osun state, adding that they are involved in maintaining law, order and discipline in schools among others.

 

The Commandant, who was flanked by some of his officers, thanked Governor Adeleke for extending his hand of fellowship to Peace Corps in its operation in the state, reiterating the Corps determination to remain committed to its duties and government of the state.

 

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi thanked the security outfit for its steadfastness and dedication to duty and for supporting the government of Governor Ademola Adeleke, maintaining that the state government is a security and people friendly one. He then affirmed that maintenance of law and order as well as discipline in all sectors of the state formed part of the ethos of the good people of Osun.

 

The Commissioner urged the Peace Corps to keep up its good work, noting that parents and guardians across the state are appreciative of the security service around their children while in the school environment.

 

Thereafter, the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Osun Command joined the Convoy of Governor Ademola Adeleke to visit Ifon-Ilobu, site of the communal clash, where they joined other security operatives in the state to maintain law and order during the peace meeting held by the Governor in Ilobu, Ifon and Erin Osun communities.
