Otunba Pinheiro of Obokun-Oriade Constituency Resigns From PDP

Otunba Oladimeji Pinheiro, PhD, a member of Obokun-Oriade Constituency has released his resignation letter from the People’s Democratic Party, with effect from 4th May, 2025.

 

Pinheiro who is a member of PDP, Ward 06, Imesi-Ile, Obokun local government, Osun State said his decision is because of internal politicking, and intrigues ahead of next general election, and personal interest and power play which has become order of the day without no hope of amicably resolution.

 

He added in his letter that the party has lost control of its direction and philosophy of the establishment which has made the internal political rancor more worsen which he presumed that the leadership of the party has failed to handle with utmost expected actions.

 

According to him, “I am convinced the purpose of staying with the party that I have labored with and contributed my quota to the progress so far for over a decade is lost. To remain with such Political Institution can jeopardize my future political sojourn”.

 

He thanked the leaders for the opportunity given to him to exercise his political interest and participations, and the relationship he had built over the years as a card carrying member of the party.

 

The closing statement of Otunba Oladimeji Pinheiro Ph.D in his resignation letter, is that the memories and lessons learned over the years will always be cherished.
