Imbibe the spiritual lessons of Ramadan by doing good during and after the holy month – Mrs Titi Adeleke

Ramadan fast which falls in the 9th month of the lunar calendar of Muslims is a blessed and glorious month in Islam wrapped with compassion, gratitude and a chance to self-reflect so as to be better human beings among others.

 

In line with these and other virtues of the holy month, the Wife of Osun State Governor, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, has tasked the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the many lessons embedded in the annual spiritual exercise.

Through an increased prayers, piety, almsgiving , reading of the glorious Quran among others, Chief (Mrs) Adeleke says her believe is that the world would be a better place.

 

She gave the admonition at the Multi purpose hall of Osun Local Government Service Commission hall, State Secretariat, when she gifted food items worth several millions of naira to women across the thirty Local Governments and Area offices of Osun state.

The gesture, according to her was equally aimed at serving as a relief to cushion the current financial difficulties in the country.

 

Through her NGO christened ” Imole Osun Initiative and Rekindled Hope Initiative, Chief Mrs. Adeleke admonished the beneficiaries and the people of the State to use the period of Ramadan to intensify prayers for the present Administration in Osun state being led by her husband,Senator Ademola Adeleke.

The Governor’s Wife noted that, the entire nation and the world at large will be a better place to live in, if brotherliness goes beyond just fasting as being done by both Christians and Muslims at this period.

 

Delivering a lecture at the programme, the Vice Chairman, Osun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ibrahim Mudashir, commended Mrs Adeleke for being a pillar of support to her husband in championing the course of Women and Children. He described her kind gesture as worthy of emulation by the well-to-do Nigerians to keep hunger at bay.

 

Muslim Women across all the 30 Local Governments and Area offices, Wive of law makers in the state, PDP women leader, Iyaloja General, ALGON Chairman’s Wife, Iya Suna General, Widows, Nasfat, FOMWAN, Women in Agric, JONAPWD including NGOs were all on ground at the occasion to witness the magnanimity of the donor of the multi million naira food items, Chief ( Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, the wife of the Governor of Osun State.
