Group Congratulates First Lady on Installation as Yèyé Asiwaju ti Ile Oodua by Ooni of Ife
A political group, Southern Movement for Asiwaju 2027, has joined the well meaning Nigerian to congratulate the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, on her installation as Yeye Asiwaju Ti Ile Oodua by the Arole Oduduwa, the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II on Sunday.
The congratulatory message jointly signed and made available to newsmen on Monday by the group’s National Coordinator, Alhaji Ayanleke Musa Tunde and the National Secretary, Hon Obinna Ohaemessi, described the installation of the First Lady as round peg in a round hole, as well as history braided with destiny.
The group in the statement further described Senator Oluremi Tinubu as a “Strength, symbol of grace, and purposeful leadership”, noting that her recognition by the revered Ooni reflects her long-standing impact on national development and cultural preservation.
“Senator Tinubu, has distinguished herself as a trailblazer, becoming the only woman in Nigeria’s history to serve as First Lady at both State and federal levels, as well as the only female to be elected into the Senate for three consecutive terms, Mama you a wonderful woman and good example for other women to emulate.
“In this rare investiture, we witness history braided with destiny, an honour steeped in ancestral echoes and the cultural gravitas of the Yoruba nation.
“Like the river that carries the blessings of the rain to far-flung lands, this recognition affirms Her Excellency’s quiet strength, dignified leadership, and her devotion to the wellbeing of the Nigerian citizens”.
The Southern Movement for Asiwaju 2027, also highlighted Senator Remi Tinubu’s unwavering support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whom he described as his father, mentor and leader as he praised her commitment to her family, her humility in service, and her influence as a role model to women across the nation.
“The First Lady remains “a pride of womanhood whose devotion, compassion and leadership inspire millions” the National Coordinator added.
