Emulate Salam’s Gesture By Prioritizing Peoples Needs, Mrs Dupe Adeleke-Sanni Charges Politicians

The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Dan Agundi, and Elder sister to Governor Ademola Adeleke Chief (Mrs) Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni on Friday hailed Hon. Bamidele Salam’s empowerment programme in Osun State.

 

This is as hundreds of constituents were empowered with industrial sewing machines, regular sewing machines, deep freezers, vulcanizing machines, and grinding machines, among others.

The duo made the commendation in Ede, Osun State at the mega empowerment programme of Rep. Bamidele Salam representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal constituency as part of activities to mark one year anniversary at the 10th National Assembly.

 

Agundi commended Salam’s exceptional leadership, saying the Federal Government under leadership of President Bola Tinubu will continue to support him to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

 

He said that he was impressed by Salam’s achievements, noting that the program aligns with the NPC’s values.

 

He charged the beneficiaries to utilize equipment giving them to empower themselves to contribute to the country’s economic recovery.

 

According to him, “We are in Osun state to witness Hon. Bamidele Salam’s empowerment program, sponsored by the National Productivity Centre.

“We travel across the country – North West, North Central, South South, South East, and South West and today, Osun  is our focal point.

 

“I’m impressed with what Hon. Salam has achieved; he’s done fantastically well. I’ll continue working with him to deliver democracy’s dividends to the people.

 

“President Bola Tinubu is not a discriminatory leader, he support him and directs us to support Hon. Salam. Amid economic hardship, his contributions to Osun and this constituency are commendable,” he said.

 

Speaking, at the event Adeleke-Sanni said that the people of the constituency did not regret of voting for him second term to represent them at the National Assembly.

 

She urged politicians in the state to emulate Salam in prioritizing the needs of people to compliment the effort of Governor Ademola Adeleke in providing dividends of democracy in the state.

According to hey, “We have no regrets about sending Bamidele Salam for a second term to represent us in the House of Representatives, Abuja.

 

“I implore other politicians in the National Assembly, House of Assembly, Commissioners, and all others political appointees to emulate Hon. Bamidele Salam by giving back to the people.

 

“These are the dividends of democratic governance, and the people must enjoy them. ”

 

“Unfortunately, some politicians only give back to the people when they have just one year left in office. All politicians should start giving back to the public what they have received.

 

In his earlier address, Rep. Bamidele Salam said that the programme is part of a series of events marking his office’s first anniversary.

 

Salam charged the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to use the items received for their intended purpose, saying that the items distributed are meant to enhance economic earnings and capacity.

 

He urged the people of the state to continue their unwavering support for Governor Ademola Adeleke which he said is doing wonderful well across the state in sectors.

 

He said “Those receiving these items today, we encourage you to use them for their intended purpose. They are not for sale, nor should they be traded. Instead, utilize them to increase your economic earnings and capacity.

 

“This is part of a series of programme marking our first anniversary in office. Two days ago, we commissioned six electrification projects as part of our outreach efforts,” he added.
