Year 2025: ACOMIN Strategize To Achieve Impactful Results On Target Health Services

Civil Society for Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition (ACOMIN), a National Network of Civil Society Organizations working on the prevention, treatment, and mitigation of the impact of malaria, and the promotion of immunization and better nutrition in Nigeria has mapped out templates to achieve impactful results in Osun state.

 

This was disclosed by the state ACOMIN Chairman, Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele who thanked the Community Based Organizations CBOs and partners working on the project, for the progress made, ahead the year 2025 activities.

 

He made this known at the year 2025 inaugural Monthly Coordination Meeting, MCM held at Omilas Continental Hotel Conference hall in Osogbo on Tuesday.

 

Ambassador Aremu charged all to be purposeful, work with the good agendas set, and access impactful results in all the local government areas beneficiary locations in the state. He maintained that,

 

“As part of the Global Fund community in the ongoing projects, impacts should be monitored to Sustainability, adding that development work is on another dimension and needs proper management.”

 

Speaking on the recent challenge of Foreign donors in the international community, he opined that “Nigeria needs to pray, because most international donors are domiciled in United States, and with the upheaval on that part of the country, strategies need to be made for projects to be sustained despite the challenge, which will pass over as time goes on.

 

He charged the CBOs to target local governments chairmen and Heads of local government administration (HLAs), for commitment, such as direct statement to access to health benefits in the interest of the people.

 

At the ACOMIN MCM for the month of January, Year 2025 activities was mapped out, including the SATs, with main focus on stakeholders in charge of each health sector.

 

Also speaking, the State Program Officer, SPO Segun David Amoto states that lasting solution for quality health facilities service is needed by ACOMIN to ensure fever cases with more of positive impacts, due to availability of health personnel and drugs.

 

He updated the CBOs on the templates to check positive or negative result in services and focus on area of improvement, and more positive results in Malaria cases in Osun state.

 

At the January MCM was the ACOMIN State partners such as Society for family health, Nnamaka Nigbeka, State primary healthcare development board Mrs. Adeeyo Ademidun and State malaria elimination program Oguntunde Taiwo who lauded the commitment of the community based organizations in their health services delivery to the beneficiaries at the various selected local governments across the state.
