Safer Roads: 3 OTRAM Officials Receives Award of Dedication to Duty

It was another feather to the cap of the Osun State Traffic Marshals(OTRAM) as three of its members were presented with the award of Excellence and Dedication to duty.

 

The OTRAM Officials, Mrs. Bada Victoria and Ms. Oyebode Fausat Opeyemi were honoured by a Non Governmental Organisation(NGO), OMECC International Cares Foundation, while Mrs. Adeleke Toyin, was honoured by Rev. Micheal Oluwole Coker as part of activities marking his 70th birthday.

 

The Marshals were awarded as a sign of recognition of their hardwork in the effort to keep Osun State accident free and for free flow of traffic in every part of the State.

 

Speaking while presenting the award to Mrs. Bada Victoria and Ms. Oyebode Fausat Opeyemi, the CEO of the NGO, Mr Oladapo Taofeek described the two Marshals as highly hardworking and dedicated to their duties.

 

Mr Oladapo said the NGO has for a long time been closely watching the two Marshals as well as others across the State before concluding that the duo deserve the honour.

 

He described the efforts of Osun Traffic Marshals across the State as one that has saved many motorists from a lot of accidents that could claim lives, just as he urged motorists and residents to always cooperate with them.

 

While encouraging other Traffic Marshals across the State to continue with the life saving jobs they are doing, Mr Oladapo commended the State Governor for giving adequate support to the Marshals in the effort to have safer roads.

 

On his own part, Rev. Micheal Oluwole Coker while presenting Mrs. Adeleke Toyin with the award of excellence described the recipient as a very loyal and dedicated member of the Traffic Marshals who will always be found at her duty post.

 

Appreciating the organisers for their show of love towards the Marshals, Osun State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Sesan Oyedele promised that the Marshals across the State will continue to be dedicated to their duties for safer roads in the State.

 

The Commissioner who was represented at the occasion by the Director, Transport Operations, Engr. Waheed Ayodeji Oyewole used the occasion to appeal to motorists and residents to always cooperate with the Marshals in a bid to make Osun roads free and safer.
