Osun NAWOJ Condoles with Senator Dr. Ajibola Basiru on the Death of His Mother, Alhaja Sidikatu Abake
The Osun State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, extends her heartfelt condolences to the All Progressives Congress APC, National Secretary Senator Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Sidikatu Abake Basiru.
In a release signed by the State Chairperson, Comrade Abisola Ariwodola and Secretary Oluwaranti Ojewumi, the association described the Matriarch of Basiru family of Osogbo-land, as a model of motherhood personified.
“We mourn the loss of a matriarch whose life of devotion, discipline, and quiet strength undoubtedly shaped the character and service of her son to the nation”.
“We thank God for her impactful lifetime, which has touched lives: her children, grandchildren, relatives, society, Osogbo community and the state at large, a testimony reflected through her son to the world.
On behalf of all female journalists in Osun State, we pray that Allah, SWT, grants Alhaja Sidikatu Abake Basiru Al-Jannah Firdaus, and gives Senator Basiru, the entire Basiru family, and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
