War Against Drug Abuse: NDLEA Collaborates HFDI To Sensitize Students 

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA Osun state office collaborated with Hope for Family Development Initiatives HFDI to sensitize secondary school students against drug abuse.

 

HFDI in collaboration with NDLEA Osun State command, carried out school outreach at Zion Baptist College, Service area, and Laro Grammar School Osogbo, on ending Drug trafficking and substances abuse.

At the school outreach, the Assistant state commander, Dr. Mrs Godwin Ofoha Yetunde talked about drugs abuse and listed reasons why youth go into drugs, such as fear, peer pressure and Educational stress.

 

She also added that their are stages of drug abuse which she highlighted as:
* Experimenting stage
* Occasional stage
* Regular User stage, and
* Addiction stage.

Furthermore, she emphasized that when someone begin to takes drugs, it controls his or her thinking, character, education and every aspect of their life.

She urges the students to shun drug abuse, asserting that experimenting drugs, without the knowledge of their parents, guidance or teachers to stop it on time, till it gets to addiction stage, will jeopardize their life.

Dr Mrs Godwin advised the students to learn to say No to drugs.
