USAID ICHSSA 1 Project: HFDI Gets Recognition, Applauded On Good Performance At Close Out Ceremony 2024

Hope for Family Development Initiative, HFDI Nigeria has gotten the recognition and applaud of United States Agency for International Development, USAID over Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award ICHSSA 1 Project Implementation in Akwa Ibom state.
The recognition was given to the non-governmental organization as one of the implementing Community Based Organizations CBOs.

At the close out ceremony, the HFDI Executive Director (ED) Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele and top management staff were present  alongside dignitaries from USAID mission, Nigeria, Deputy Governors, Commissioners, top government and non-governmental agencies and implementing partners across Nigeria.

 

The close-out ceremony communicated achievements and disseminating learnings to stakeholders present, and had one of its success of the project, a presentation of HFDI’s beneficiaries, Ubong Abasi: a visually impaired boy who is also living with HIV.

 

The project restored his hope of education through cash transfer support from the project, and Ubong Abasi is currently enrolled in a school for special needs, his story reflects hope and resilience.


The close-out ceremony had in attendance Doreen Magaji from the office HIV and TB, USAID, representing the Mission Director for Nigeria, Melissa Jones.

 

Also, USAID team and the DCOP of Hellen Keller International, the USAID IP for nutrition in Akwa-Ibom state were seen inspecting HFDI table at the program.
