Retired Principals Reiterates Support for Adeleke’s Administration

…disassociates self from interview condemning Adeleke’s efforts on education…

The Association of Retired Principals of Public Schools (AREPPS) has has thrown its weight behind the Governor Ademola Adeleke style of improving the education sector.

 

Members of AREPPS said they have carefully followed the style of governance of the present administration especially in the education sector and they are satisfied.

 

They spoke through their Patron, Elder Francis Adejumo during a meeting with the Osun State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole at the State Secretariat.

 

The association expressed its readiness to continue to lend any kind of support in form advise that will help improve the state education sector, stressing that they will continue to see themselves as stakeholders in the sector.

 

Elder Francis while reacting to some comments made by one Mr Layi Lawuyi a retired principal on a radio programme, said that Mr. Layi Lawuyi though a retired principal, has never been a member of the association, hence his comments does not represent the view of the association.

 

Also speaking, the Osun President, AREPPS said the association is one who admits only people with integrity into the association and not all retired principals are members of the association, the association is only for a retired principal with a proving integrity.

 

He further noted that they serve advisory role for government on education policies and do not participate in any form of partisan politics.

 

While reacting, the Commissioner for Education Hon. Dipo Eluwole said Adeleke administration is doing all in it’s power to ensure that education in the state is at its best.

 

He further said the administration currently correcting the wrongs of the past administration in the education sector.
