Osun NSCDC Gets New Commandant

In its strategic move aimed at strengthening security operations in Osun State, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has given his approval for the redeployment of Dr Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo to the state.

Dr Akintayo, a seasoned professional with a rich background in security and public administration, is set to assume the position previously held by Agboola Sunday, who has been redeployed to Ekiti State.

The decision underscores the commitment of the NSCDC to optimizing leadership placements for effective security management across the nation. Hailing from Aisegba Ekiti in Gbonyin local government, Ekiti State, Dr. Akintayo brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role. His educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences and a Ph.D. in Public Administration.

He has had extensive training, both locally and internationally, showcases a dedication to staying abreast of evolving security challenges. Dr. Akintayo has participated in various courses, including the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives course, Counter-Terrorism Crisis Response, Disarmament Demobilization Re-Integration Course, Homicide and Violent Crises Investigation Course, and Physical Protection of Chemical Installations Course, among others. Until this recent redeployment, Dr. Akintayo held the position of Oyo State Commandant, where he demonstrated his leadership and expertise in overseeing security affairs.

His transfer to Osun State is seen as a strategic move to enhance the security architecture in the region. The NSCDC, under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, continues to prioritize effective leadership placements as part of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the country.

The redeployment of Dr. Akintayo is expected to contribute to the ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment in Osun State.
