Ora-Igbomina Day Holds On August 30th

The much-anticipated Ora-Igbomina Day will hold on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at St. Stephen’s Anglican Primary School, Papa, Ora-Igbomina by 10:00 am prompt.

 

This year’s celebration is not only a cultural homecoming but also a platform for community development and growth, as a target sum of One Hundred Million Naira (₦100,000,000) will be raised to further the cause of Ora’s socio-economic advancement.

 

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Dr. Femi Adefila, he assured that the 2025 edition will be a historic and memorable gathering, bringing together sons and daughters of Ora-Igbomina both at home and in the diaspora.

 

According to him, several eminent personalities have confirmed their attendance:

 

His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, will grace the occasion as Special Guest of Honour.

 

Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla and Hon. Clement Akanni Olohunwa will serve as Guests of Honour. Bishop Felix Owolabi will chair the occasion with dignity and wisdom.

 

In addition, revered traditional rulers, including His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife, and His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdul Wahab Oyedotun, the Orangun of Ila, will serve as Royal Fathers of the Day.

 

The event will feature cultural displays, traditional music, awards, recognitions, and a roll call of illustrious indigenes who continue to contribute to the progress of Ora-Igbomina. It promises to be a grand convergence of culture, tradition, and development.

 

Dr. Adefila therefore called on all indigenes, friends, and well-wishers of Ora-Igbomina to join hands in making the 2025 celebration a resounding success.

 

“Ora-Igbomina Day is not just a festival; it is a covenant of unity, progress, and legacy for generations yet unborn,” he affirmed.
