Nigerian women who recently gathered together in Osun state, has teamed up on female leadership in personal development and nation building for economic growth and sustainability.
This is as the stakeholders declared readiness to develop and contribute to nation building with their skills through various forms, that will be beneficial to the female gender, and their domicile community.
The high powered Nigerian women which include, the wife of Osun state Governor Ademola Adeleke, Ambassador Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, the former Minister for Education, Dr Mrs Oby Ezekwesili, Executive Director FFA Group Dr Mrs Funke Felix-Adejumo, Barrister Omolola Bolarinwa and Entrepreneur Yemisi Iranloye, the wife of the Deputy Governor Deaconess Olusola Adewusi and wife of the speaker Princess Monsurat Egbedun converged at Osun Exceptional Ladies Conference 2024 to impact Osun women in various field.
The program organised by Aspire Ladies, led by the Committee Chairperson Mrs Folasade Omole held at WOCDIF Event Center in Osogbo.
The society dignitaries at the extraordinary gathering celebrated women, and shared their experiences as motivation to explore and actualise avenues for personal development and nation-building.
Experiences in Agriculture, Education, Business, Marriage and Home Affairs, and Leadership positions were shared with the success stories, as yardstick that women are embodiment of strength and can achieve success no matter how hard the challenges may look.
The speakers at the program convened by Pst Segun Oduyebo CEO DDI Consult, charged the women on the need to take charge of opportunities, occupy spaces politically and entrepreneurship wise, while fulfilling destiny.
They opined that active participation, will leverage their voices and actions for positive change in their immediate environment and beyond, adding that the time has come for women to take leadership positions as the norm globally.
In his remarks, the convener of Osun Exceptional Ladies Conference 2024, Pst Segun Oduyebo stated that this is the inaugural conference of the Ladies Aspire, adding that more ground breaking programs are coming up for women development in the state.
Describing the program as a vision received and implemented to the Glory of God, he appreciated stakeholders who believed in the vision and supported the project from gestation stage.
Women professional bodies from sectors of the state, and female students of invited schools (who are termed the future generation) were participants at the record breaking event which has become a landmark in Osun state, a platform to harness for development.
