The Olufi of Gbongan, HRM Oba Dr. Adetoyese Oyeniyi JP, Odugbemi 1, have disclosed that his son Prince Adekunle Adedoye earned the position of Otun Tobalase of the ancient town, due to his hardwork, native intelligence, understanding of the terrain and love for helping people.
The king made the disclosure at the traditional installation ceremony of Prince Adekunle Adedoye as the Otun Tobalase of Gbongan town, held at the weekend, in the monarch palace.
According to Oba Dr Adetoyese, Adekunle who is the Osun state Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers NIESV, is always ready to learn, and he has a good heart towards people, he listens, always at the beck and call of every one, and he strives for the development of the town.
“The choice of him as Otun Tobalase and his wife as Yeye Tobalase isn’t because he is my son, or they are my children, it’s because they earned the position, and am glad everyone, even the government of Osun and his professional affiliates are accustomed to his attributes, and capabilities hence the acceptance.”
Speaking on the state of the nation, the Royal Father encouraged everyone to be prayerful and hardworking, adding that Nigeria will be better again, contentment is key, he stated.
He further stressed that education is important, and am glad as a scholar and king, I educated my children, and I urge parents to emulate such.
Talking of education, the admission norm of yesterday is different from today, i believe JAMB knows what is good for the future generation, so lets trust them, while as individuals we love and guide children right.
We are grateful to everyone who graced the occasion of his installation as Otun Tobalase and his wife as Yeye Tobalase of Gbongan town, Oba Adetoyese concluded.
