Memory: HFDI Sensitises Healthcare Workers On COVID 19 Vaccination and Guidelines In Osun
Healthcare workers in Osun state were part of the COVID-19 workshop put together by Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI to address the pandemic and vaccination of Osun citizens.
Speaking at the open ground of state hospital Asubiaro, venue of the workshop, the Executive Director Hope for Family Development Initiative HFDI, Ambassador Dr Aremu Stephen Akinyele highlighted the significant impact in healthcare education to achieve a successful vaccination, needed to protect residents during the pandemic.
He added that the primary healthcare workers and vaccinators drawn from the state primary healthcare board and nurses of the state hospital, must ensure compliance with the vaccination process, compliance and routine, before, during and after administration of vaccines on residents.
Describing the critical role healthcare workers as important, he charged them to prioritise quality healthcare delivery which will birth good public health responses, while maintaining that the workshop was necessary to fill the gap on lack access to up-to-date educational resources and training on effective COVID-19 prevention and vaccination strategies.
Adding that the government can not do it alone, he commended Osun government for being proactive and COVID 19 prevention and for collaborations on health service delivery to protect the people of Osun.
He further stated that the most effective way of being frr from coronavirus known as COVID 19 is to get the vaccination against it, hence the importance of the healthcare workers getting adequate education on it, to achieve effective health service delivery.
Ambassador Aremu reiterated the commitment of HFDI to support health intervention programmes that will be in the benefit of the people, through the primary healthcare centres PHCs, and other health institutions in the state.
