HFDI Holds Vocational Training in Akwa Ibom

Hope For Family Development Initiative HFDI held vocational training programme for selected beneficiaries in Akwa Ibom state.

 

The Vocational training which kicked off on Monday 14th April, 2025, held at HFDI office, Etinan LGA, Akwa Ibom state.

 

The training session had Grace Akpan the Program Manager for Akwa Ibom team, who welcomed the participants and also enlightened them on reason for the gathering which was Skill acquisition.

 

She encouraged the participants to use the opportunity before them to explore the skills available, take it as a rare privilege needed to enhance economic empowerment to get equipped with marketable skills that can encourage economic independence.

 

The food demonstration session was handled by Victoria Alban the facilitator, who took the participants through the identification of the items used for the preparation of mixed cereal and banana pap. She also took the participants through the process which mixed cereal and banana pap are prepared, questions were asked for clarification where necessary and was responded to accordingly.

 

The participants showed eagerness to learn and understand the processes as some said they can’t wait to prepare for their family consumption, and also to start selling, and the  session ended as a great and impactful session as the participants were thankful to the organisation for such opportunity to learn.

 

The outcome of the training session was to improve demonstration of greater self esteem, motivation and creative expression as a result of mastering new practical skills.
