GF-Malaria/GC-7 /CLM Project: ACOMIN Hold Coordination Meeting With State Partners On Success Stories

Accountability of Civil Society on Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition, ACOMIN held its monthly coordination meeting with state partners in the Osun to discuss on malaria intervention success stories across local governments.

 

At the coordination meeting held at Conference hall of Omilas Intercontinental Hotel in Osogbo, the ACOMIN state Chairman, Ambassador Aremu Stephen Akinyele commended the state partners for consistency and charged them to achieve more success story for the GF Malaria/GC7 /CLM Project.

 

He also added that having a success story for the project is a priority, to complement the fund injected into the project, “if there is no success story, there’s no way to justify the project expenses.

 

“The economy is financially tough, but having an environment free of malaria and other captured health threatening disease by ACOMIN is laudable and must be accomplished, and the opportunity should be judiciously utilized by residents in the communities” – Ambassador Aremu stated.

 

In his remarks, the State Program Officer, SPO David Amoto taking the success stories from the state partners, commended the community stakeholders for supporting the initiative to donate the Primary Healthcare facilities across the local governments in Osun.

 

The community stakeholders donated items which are consumables and non-consumables such as a generators, pack of gloves, drugs for BP patients, antimalarial drugs, and beds, and they also ensured clean and secured health facility environment, among others.

 

The ACOMIN monthly coordination meeting is a norm for the state partners to brainstorm on every activity of the PHCs, discussing the success stories as well as challenges and mapping out progress in the selected local governments in Osun state.
